Part-Time Advertising/Marketing Associate Job Description

Mars Electric, a leading independent, distributor of lighting, gear and electrical supplies in NE Ohio, is looking for a highly motivated, flexible, advertising/marketing professional to devote 15-25 hours per week as a marketing associate. The ideal candidate will be organized, have strong written and verbal communication skills, have experience managing social media for a business, and a "can do" attitude. He/she will be curious, analytical, and proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Help uncover co-op dollars from manufacturers and implement plans to use them
• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities
• Coordinate development of videos for uses across a variety of media outlets including mars-electric.com, email campaigns, and social media
• Help distribute marketing materials
• Collect and organize data
• Conduct research
• Support the marketing team on daily administrative tasks
• Update the email marketing database
• Develop creative "branch days," special sales events
• Help with special projects
• Develop marketing reports
